Year 5 had a fantastic time at our Fresh Air residential at Harry’s Island near Burley in May. The children loved camping overnight in bell tents (even if it was a late night and early wake up!)
The Fresh Air Club instructors led loads of fun activities including axe throwing, archery, rifle shooting, natural cordage making, shelter building and fire lighting. There were also games of rounders, tug of war and a slip ‘n slide on the second day (the rain didn’t seem to put the children off!) It was a brilliant camp – the instructors were great, the staff worked hard and the children were amazing.
