English

Year 5 had an excellent day listening to and working with the story teller, Chris Connaughton. He told some tales of Robin Hood, and explained how stories and legends like this have been passed down over time. Chris explained what a ballad is and what the purpose of ballads are and he set the children the task of writing our own ballads. Chris came round to all of the Year 5 classes to help the children with their writing, giving some useful tips about generating ideas and creating powerful imagery in their writing.
