Spring Term Open Morning

We delighted to have held a successful open morning, where parents had the opportunity to join us for an engaging math lesson focused on decimals, fractions, and percentages. It was lovely to see many of you in attendance, actively participating alongside your children as they ordered these numbers by converting them.

Hopefully, this session demonstrated what pupils are learning to do beyond the immediate learning objectives; it aimed to provide insight into the standards our pupils are expected to achieve by the end of May. By engaging with the material, we hope that you better understand the expectations outlined in the SATs papers, which will be sent home shortly for your reference.

As we strive to gently prepare our students for these assessments, we incorporate daily long-term retrieval (LTRs) practice into our lessons. This approach not only reinforces their understanding but also builds confidence.

We would like to extend our thanks to all the parents who joined us on this special day. Your involvement is invaluable as we work collaboratively to support our pupils in their educational journey.

Autumn Term Open Morning

It was lovely to welcome parents and carers into our classrooms this week for our Open Day! We enjoyed sharing our learning on The Highwayman poem and exploring the fascinating features of poetry together. It was heartwarming to see families working alongside their children, gaining a deeper understanding of the skills and knowledge Year 6 students are developing in preparation for SATs and their transition to secondary school. We hope everyone had a fantastic time and left feeling inspired and more connected to our learning community. Thank you for joining us!
