Increase the number to force them to use written multiplication for GDS.

 

Summer 1

Hundredths – metres and centimetres.

 

Measure – Time

Use your 5 a day that you have planned throughout the year to ensure that you can teach Y3 curriculum and spend less time focussing on Y2 curriculum.

5 times tables. Number bonds to 60.

Conversion links with timetables and division

 

Statistics

LTR Opportunities:

Timetables when forming a scale and totalling data.

Links with negative numbers – difference in temperatures for example.

Measure – data that can link to kilograms for example or distance travelled (kilometres).

Geometry: Properties of Shape

Spend more time on vocabulary and properties of shape – we have allowed for this in the long term plan.

Turning shapes (9 timetables).

Fractions and position and direction for turns.
